Boys and Girls (2000)

Off-putting mélange of two tried-but-true romantic comedy formulas—the bickering-to-flirting and friends-to-lovers principles—applied to a couple of young dopes (Prinze, Forlani) with an unlikely past and predictable future. Starts with an ear-splitting cover of J. Geils Band’s “Love Stinks” and a twelve-year-old girl telling a boy she just met on a plane that she started her first period and, “We could have sex right now and I wouldn’t get pregnant.” Ends with a mid-credits sequence showing Prinze’s best bud (Biggs) surrounded by underwear-clad supermodels breaking wind and explaining that’s how they stay thin. Very little in between is an improvement. Alyson Hannigan and Lisa Eichorn have minor roles.
