Lackluster family vacation comedy sends Candy, Austin, and the kids to the beach, where Candy butts heads with local sailing champ and jerkwad Crenna, then recruits the aid of resident salty dog Torn after Candy challenges Crenna to a regatta race. Mostly juvenile humor presented in a frequently low-key fashion (or, more accurately, a tired fashion); Candy and Torn don’t even get the chance to try and save the picture since Mark Reisman and Jeremy Stevens’ writing is so sloppy and uninspired. Predictable plotting and punchlines from the word go. Summer days are too precious to waste them here. Green dubbed younger sister Jene’s voice.
